“Wanting Alex” to compete at Macon Film Festival
WANTING ALEX opens the 2011 festival season by being accepted into one of the gems of the festival circuit, the Macon Film Festival in beautiful downtown Macon, GA. After a successful fifth year in February 2010, the Macon Film Festival is heading into its sixth year with a four day festival scheduled for February 17 – 20, 2011.
The Macon Film Festival was created to celebrate the art and craft of the moving image, and to introduce independent films that rarely appear in Macon, Georgia. MaGa is dedicated to entertaining, educating, and inspiring audiences and filmmakers alike by offering innovative and imaginative films both mainstream and independent in nature. We also strive to introduce visiting filmmakers and guests to the Central Georgia community, and to promote film production in the area.
The Macon Film Festival is a unique festival in that we screen all films in two different historic theatres and a newly built convention hotel in beautiful downtown Macon. Screenings are held at the Cox Capitol Theatre, The Douglass Theatre and the Marriott Hotel along with events at various downtown locations.
WANTING ALEX will screen at the following times:
1) Thursday, Feb. 17th at 5:15pm: Narrative Short Block #2 – Macon Marriott City Center
2) Friday, Feb. 18th at 5:30pm: Narrative Short Block #2 – The Douglass Theatre
