The StoryPete’s doing ok. He’s got a decent waiting job that lets him buy all the beer and sneakers he needs and he just inherited a sweet rent controlled two-bedroom apartment in LA. Now Pete just needs a roommate. Craig’s List gave him Chad.
Chad seems harmless. He pays his bills on time, he’s pretty clean, and he’s almost never there. But Chad brought his girlfriend, Alex. She is beautiful, funny, charming and, quite inconveniently, the love of Pete’s life. Now, Pete is tortured daily by listening to them have loud sex in the next room. Which is strange because Pete is one hundred percent sure that, given his sleeveless shirts and fedoras, Chad is gay. Go figure.
They’ve been together since college, but Chad just booked a starring role on a new TV show, Maple Grove Academy, which leaves him little time for Alex. So now, Pete and Alex are never apart. They’ve become best friends. And she is madly in love with the most effeminate heterosexual heartthrob since that guy from the Partridge Family. But as far as Pete can tell, this is her only flaw.
